We told the front desk because we didn't want to get charged for it, and they sprayed a neutralizer in the room that helped.
It smelled of cigarette smoke, although apparently the whole hotel is smoke free. It seems like the owners have a nice casino and got stuck with a hotel they have no interest in running well.
